Novatech Sentinel - Night Animation & Breakdown

My last personal project.
My role: all aspects, from retopology to final image.
It was really hard, especially for the big amount of polygons and textures.
I worked on an Asus Rog, so not so bad, but not enough. Optimization was the way (also in Nuke with a lot of pre-render)!

Hill with a tileable texture in Zbrush. For the background i used a mix of photos to create a simple matte painting, starting from some cubes in Maya to have the correct perspective and layout. Camera projection in Nuke.
The light setup for the background is made in Nuke.
2.5D relight in Nuke for the robot.

I also worked with Maya Fluids to create some FX (i'm not so good in this king of stuff!)
